Addressing the challenges of an aging population and aligning with the "four strategic orientations" for scientific development, the Institute of Aging and Health focuses deeply on aging and health research. Building upon BNU's distinguished disciplines, such as psychology, life sciences, and chemistry, the Institute collaboratively develops programs with domestic and international universities and research institutes—including Capital Medical University—as well as top-tier hospitals and biomedical enterprises. It is dedicated to nurturing elite scientists in the life and health sectors, cultivating interdisciplinary talent, yielding major original breakthroughs, and incubating research with promising industrial applications, thereby driving the integrated development of education, science and technology, and human resources. Its scientific research centers on proactive health and the biological mechanisms of aging, conducting both applied basic research and technological development. By synergizing strengths through interdisciplinary integration, the Institute aims to produce translatable scientific innovations, committing to the construction of a scientifically efficient health service system and a support platform focused on proactive intervention.
